Exploring North Battleford at 100: A creative and historic visual perspective as the city celebrates its 100th anniversary The first week of July 2012 will see two photographers and a videographer make North Battleford home as they set out to capture a creative and historic visual perspective of North Battleford in anticipation of its 100th year celebrations. This dynamic team of visual artists is made up of photographers Stuart Kasdorf, Doug Rarog, and journalist/videographer Tara Yolan.
When asked why photographer Stuart Kasdorf would want to spend part of his summer vacation photographing North Battleford Saskatchewan he replied, "North Battleford is a fantastic city in our province. They have beautiful historic architecture, the vistas around the city are incomparable in the province and I like the community feeling that a smaller city has to offer." Kasdorf expects that the team will use their fresh eyes to explore and capture landscapes, urban development and some iconic North Battleford interiors in the first phase of this exciting endeavour. The second phase of this project will include portraits and interviews with some of the characters and outstanding citizens of North Battleford. This creative and energetic team of professional visual artists is hoping that their photographic essay will be made available to the citizens of North Battleford for viewing during their 100th Anniversary celebrations. There are many great possibilities for this to happen. Stay posted for further details about how "Exploring North Battleford at 100"will be made available to the general public.
